I am delighted to share that this month I am attending a Charity Ball in aid of REORG, a charity dedicated to helping those who have serious, life-altering injuries, or who are suffering from PTSD and depression.

The difference that Brazilian jiu-jitsu can make is nothing short of incredible. Physically BJJ is brilliant because you can adapt it to your abilities, and you get a workout that puts every part of your body on red alert. And the accompanying psychological benefits are something everyone notices as soon as they start training.

Whether you are diagnosed with PTSD, or simply suffering from a low mood or lack of purpose, when you spend a tough hour on the mats, the volume on all your problems gets turned right down.

My newest painting has been created with this event in mind, alongside my own personal journey of late which has seen my life take a very different turn. The painting will be unveiled and auctioned on the evening to raise much needed funds for REORG.

The painting, currently untitled, is the first of my new collection, ‘The Revival Series’. This brand new, enticing collection of work focuses on the figurative wearing of masks, and how we have become accustomed to hiding behind them.
